Nursing Rehab

Our dedicated staff is specially trained to help patients who are not physically mobile to get out of bed and walk around. We give special attention to each patient to make sure that he or she is comfortable and get as much activity as possible.

Hospice

Hospice care at Forest View enables residents and their families to deal with advanced illness and to prepare for life without a loved one. We help provide the resident’s family with the comfort of knowing that their loved one is receiving the best possible care from an expert, warm Hospice team.

Our hospice program provides symptom control and relief from pain as well as emotional and spiritual support.

Specifically, we provide:

• pain and symptom management
• frequent bathing, grooming and positioning
• relief from loneliness , isolation, and depression
• spiritual care through clergy visitation
• support to given family members
• assistance with financial issues

Along with the rest of our staff, our Hospice team of physicians, nurses and social workers, as well as pastoral caregivers, work to provide for the needs of the patient, as well as to reduce the family’s stress.

Hospice nurses are on call 24 hours a day to:

• Co-ordinate the patient’s plan of care
• Explain the disease progression, answer questions, and offer essential emotional support
• Assess changes in resident’s condition and consult the physicians to insure good pain and symptom control.

Respite Care

We recognize the stress that comes with the responsibility of caring for a loved one. Our short-term respite program provides caregivers with much needed relief, and the knowledge that their loved one is receiving excellent care in a warm, respectful environment.
